Stability of Rotating Gravitating Streams

This paper treats the stability of two superposed gravitating streams rotating about the axis transverse to the horizontal magnetic field. The critical wave number for instability is found to be affected by rotation for propagation perpendicular to the axis about which the system rotates. The critical wave number for instability is not affected by rotation when waves propagate along the axis of...

Local stability criterion for self-gravitating disks in modified gravity

We study local stability of self-gravitating fluid and stellar disk in the context of modified gravity theories which predict a Yukawa-like term in the gravitational potential of a point mass. We investigate the effect of such a Yukawa-like term on the dynamics of self-gravitating disks. More specifically, we investigate the consequences of the presence of this term for the local stability of t...

On the Stability of Gravitating Nonabelian Monopoles

The behaviour of magnetic monopole solutions of the Einstein-YangMills-Higgs equations subject to linear spherically symmetric perturbations is studied. Using Jacobi’s criterion some of the monopoles are shown to be unstable. Furthermore the numerical results and analytical considerations indicate the existence of a set of stable solutions. ∗e-mail: [email protected]

Non-Archimedean stability of Cauchy-Jensen Type functional equation

In this paper we investigate the generalized Hyers-Ulamstability of the following Cauchy-Jensen type functional equation$$QBig(frac{x+y}{2}+zBig)+QBig(frac{x+z}{2}+yBig)+QBig(frac{z+y}{2}+xBig)=2[Q(x)+Q(y)+Q(z)]$$ in non-Archimedean spaces

Aristotelian constitutions

One of the chief problems about discussing any aspect of Aristotle's political thought, but especially his thinking about constitutions, is the apparent disorder of the Politics. The relatively loose and dialectical nature of the argument is certainly responsible for some of its unevenness: the repetitions, the omissions of promised discussions of particular topics, and the sudden turns, perhap...
